Arachne Recon landed in the marathon category on WALLNODE. Crosses over with dark, game, marathon, red. Native resolution sits at 3840×2160 in a 16:9 landscape frame (839.5 KB source file). Ideal display targets include 4K monitors, 4K UHD TVs, desktop displays, laptops. Brought to WALLNODE by Bungie with contributions from Drexis Animations. Added to WALLNODE in July 2026.
Why? Because all wallpaper sites look and feel like they are collecting everything, and usually offer many mainstream wallpapers with text and clutter all over them at max 4K if you are lucky. We are trying to make 4K the standard and push to 8k, while also curating.
What? So this is a curated, ever-growing collection of free high-resolution wallpapers : digitized analog and generative art, abstract compositions, experimental visuals, gaming stills and virtual photography. There are exclusive wallpapers made by Wallnode (NO AI).
Each piece is selected to bring unique aesthetics to your digital workspace. We try to stay away from AI generated stuff, so NO AI / NO SLOP. Also we stay away from text clutter / full of logo overlays wallpapers, if you are into that, this is not for you.
All wallpapers are free, with copyright belonging to the respective authors. Check license page for details. They are DESKTOP first wallpapers, modern mobile devices should be ok with that also (crop at will). Want to use them for other purposes? Please refer to the license and contact the authors.
